I just love the tones you used for this black and white..
I still can't get the hang of getting good results from Channel Mixer in Photoshop
Any tips?

@Ming Img: Hi there, I have been using a technique for high contrast b&w. First of all open your colour photo in photoshop. Add a new adjustment layer, choose gradient map and click ok. Then open another adjustment layer and choose channel mixer. Tick monochrome, then use these settings:
Constant to -8
red channel: lower the red channel to 75%
then move the green slider right for as long as the picture seems ok then do the same with the blue channel.
It seems to work ok, I got the technique from photoshop cs2 for digital photgraphers by Scott Kelby.
